# Source tools

> MCP tools to attach ingested sources to workspaces

Inspect which workspaces an ingested source belongs to, and attach or detach it without re-running ingestion. The session workspace is the source's current workspace. Pass the other workspace as `workspace_id` when adding or removing membership. See [Workspace scope](/mcp/overview#workspace-scope).

## list\_source\_workspaces

Lists the workspaces this source belongs to that you can access.

| Parameter | Type | Description |
| - | - | - |
| `id` | `string` | ID of the source. |

## add\_source\_to\_workspace

Attaches an existing ingested source to another workspace.

| Parameter | Type | Description |
| - | - | - |
| `id` | `string` | ID of the source to attach. |
| `workspace_id` | `string` | ID of the workspace to attach the source to. |

## remove\_source\_from\_workspace

Removes an ingested source from a workspace without deleting the source.

| Parameter | Type | Description |
| - | - | - |
| `id` | `string` | ID of the source to detach. |
| `workspace_id` | `string` | ID of the workspace to remove the source from. |
